From December 2020 to May 2021, I was a marketing and social media strategist intern for The Rehearsal Club. The Rehearsal Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young women establish careers in the performing arts industry. I worked with the Outreach and Communications Committee to create a marketing and social media plan with this internship. The purpose was to revitalize The Rehearsal Club’s social media to promote the organization’s year-long campaign. Post engagement on Facebook increased by 1010%. Part of our social strategy included creating a new Instagram; the new account grew to have 935% more followers than the prior. As a result of the social media rebranding, the organization has raised $100,000 in the first seven weeks, meeting its annual goal. I utilized the various social media platforms to share the organization’s rich history and follow current social trends. One example of this was the Musical March Madness competition held on Instagram. I was able to take old photos and give them a new life, such as the Carol Burnett on film Instagram post below.
