MEJO 379 Research for Advertising and Public Relations

In MEJO 379, we were assigned a group at the beginning of the semester and have been tasked with conducting various research on a single company and social issue. Our group analyzed how can Patagonia use environmentalism to increase sales of athleisure/everyday wear and justify current pricing? We completed a background research assignment, a focus group experiment, individual interviews, an ethnography, a survey, an A/B testing experiment based on two advertisements I created, and compiled our findings into a final paper and presentation.

This is the first version of the two ads I created. The purpose of this ad is to advertise Patagonia’s environmentalism to sell their athleisure clothing items.

This is the second version of the two ads I created. The purpose of this ad is to advertise only Patagonia’s athleisure clothing items without any mention of environmentalism.
